Most Yarra Valley first-time visitors put Coldstream on their itinerary specifically for Domaine Chandon and Yering Station, which sit within 5 minutes of each other and form a natural pairing for an afternoon of sparkling wine tastings.

Coldstream Brewery has become a destination in its own right — one of the region's most-popular craft breweries with a busy taproom, full food service, and regular events. The Yarra Valley Dairy is a long-running cheese producer with a cellar door cafe that's well-suited to a casual lunch break between cellar door visits.

The drive from Melbourne CBD takes 50-65 minutes via the Eastern Freeway and Lilydale — Coldstream is one of the closest Yarra Valley cellar door zones to the city, which makes it well-suited to day trips and afternoon-only visits.
